David Green is a highly accomplished international sales executive and export strategist with more than 40 years of commercial leadership spanning the industrial textiles, cable manufacturing, and telecommunications sectors. With business experience covering 43 countries, 91 cities, and five continents, he has consistently driven global market expansion, executed complex export strategies, and delivered record-breaking sales across multiple industries.

Over the course of his career, David has held senior leadership positions including National Sales Manager, General Manager of Sales, Export Manager, and Managing Executive with some of South Africa’s leading manufacturers such as Kaytech, General Cable Africa, CBI Electric, and Industex Group. His results-driven approach has enabled him to achieve sustained export growth, design effective go-to-market strategies, and build strong business pipelines across Africa, Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Australasia.

Career highlights include:

  • Spearheading the largest export deals in company history at both General Cable Africa and CBI Electric.

  • Growing Kaytech’s export sales threefold within three years, expanding the company’s presence across Sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America.

  • Establishing in-country sales offices in Kenya and Ghana while building annual export pipelines exceeding ZAR 150 million.

  • Mentoring and developing high-performing sales teams, with several professionals advancing to senior leadership roles.

  • Developing structured segment strategies for mining, telecoms, energy, utilities, and industrial infrastructure sectors.
